Catherine Baker

Catherine Baker, Founder of Fashionista Cafe and a Fashionista herself, is an entrepreneur from New York, born in Paris, France. Having studied International Business in Paris and Fashion Merchandising Management at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, Catherine paved the way for her long career in various creative industries and ultimately the creation of Fashionista Cafe.
 
She is a professional with about fifteen years of experience in Europe and New York, working in retail, wholesale, trends, graphic design, textiles, fabric research and development, marketing and public relations. Her breadth of experience includes working with renowned corporations all over the globe including women and menswear apparel, trends, luxury goods, interior design and editorial companies.
 
Through the course of Catherine’s successful career and creation of a vast professional network, she received widespread positive response to her vision from eager professionals seeking to network, share ideas and grow. In 2009, she began to officially develop her vision of a full-service community for Fashionistas – professionals passionate about aesthetics, style and beauty in their respective industries – which has now become Fashionista Cafe.
 
Catherine’s ultimate goals are to nurture the creative community in her six focus industries (fashion, beauty, interior design, photography, graphics and luxury) and create a powerful international professional network facilitating new business opportunities.
